As a California-licensed Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I evaluate and treat individuals of all ages. Prior to starting Logan Wellness, I worked as a clinical nurse at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and public health nurse for the LA County Department of Public Health.
Board certification is obtained by passing a competency-based national exam that assesses the clinical knowledge and skills of nurse practitioners. Certification is awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC).
I evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medication when clinically indicated for mental health disorders, including Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Substance Use, Schizophrenia, and other related conditions.
I treat individuals of all ages with a variety of needs.
There is no "one size fits all" in psychiatric care. Treatment plans are individualized to specific needs.
Depression and anxiety are the two most prevalent mental health disorders. An individualized treatment plan begins with an accurate diagnosis, which may include medication. Rediscover hope, motivation, and a joy for living.
Many individuals experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Fear, intrusive thoughts, disrupted sleep, and loss of hope do not need to overpower your life. These symptoms can be managed with a medication treatment plan when appropriate.
Attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) begins in childhood, and symptoms can persist in adulthood. ADHD can interfere with school and work performance, impact relationships, lead to substance use, and result in a decreased quality of life. It is fortunate there are several treatment options.

Nurse practitioners are licensed and regulated by the Board of Registered Nursing (916) 322-3350 www.rn.ca.gov. A nurse practitioner is not a physician or a surgeon. In Spanish, the title is "enfermero especializado." A patient has the right to see a physican and surgeon on request. In some circumstances, a referral may be required.
